One of the main museum functions and purpose is providing a complete and panoramic view of history, culture and Leon's territory heritage via the historical assets from the public domain procured through archaeology, the history of  art, ethnography and any other type of cultural and historical creation.​
The museum owns 2 different venues in Leon, the first one is the Pallares building and the second one is located at the San Marcos Convent. On the other hand there is an option to visit an archaeological  annex located in the Romanic villa of Navatejera which is part of the Villaquilambre municipality and it is only a few kilometers away from Leon city. 

The standard ticket price is €1

Opening times: Mon-Fri 10am-2pm and 4pm-7pm.
